Radio Interview with Bindu Bhakta
by Robo Robb on Jul.17, 2012, under journalism
Bindu is an educator over at Michigan State University Extension of Oakland County. Her job is to help educate the community about the importance of stewardship. This is a crucial issue to the state of Michigan considering 20% of the worlds fresh water touches this great state (this is actually something I learned during the interview). I am very fascinated by the water cycle and consider it to be one of the most important assets in the state of Michigan. So take a listen and learn a little more about the hydrologic cycle and how we impact it.

Radio Interview with The Static Dial
by Robo Robb on Jul.13, 2012, under Rock
I met Bill almost a year ago when I was canvasing the city of Troy Michigan during one of my hustles. Bill was tending shop and we started talking. I came to find out that he teaches guitar lessons out of the back of his shop, and is also in a band. We eventually set up an interview and he brought his band to the radio station. Take a listen to the discussion that ensued. Enjoy!

Radio Interview with [mister]
by Robo Robb on Jul.09, 2012, under Hip-Hop
It is entirely unfair of me to take credit for this interview. mister and I have been friends for many years now, and I know too much about the dude to not have known where interesting conversations might arise during a discussion with him. If you did not already know, mister is one half of the hugely popular Detroit rap group Passalacqua. This interview actually was supposed to include Black Smith (the other half of Passalacqua) but I guess he was out fighting toxic avengers on the night we spoke. I do have to sadly inform the audience that the first half of this interview, the half where we discuss the early days of cutting in wrestling (which his grandfather was apart of) were unfortunately lost due to technical malfunctions. I am also happy that this interview became a follow up with mister because I’m able to use this awesome picture of mister when he was on vacation in Borneo riding giant house cats. Take a listen to what is left of the interview we had, and always remember that some conversations are meant to be fleeting. If everything we talked about was recorded there might be some dire consequences we had not anticipated. Enjoy!

Interview with Peelander Yellow
by Robo Robb on Jul.08, 2012, under Rock
The first time I heard Peelander Z I had to interview them. Unfortunately I was not able to interview the band but I was able to interview Peelander Yellow (who is usually the one who fields all the questions directed towards the band). Down in Austin this year, Peelander Green was standing line behind me at Easy Tiger while I was waiting on a nice soft pretzel and an iced coffee. This was a great interview and Peelander Yellow was more than happy to talk about his love for fishing. I think you will enjoy this group take a listen and enjoy.

SXSW Interview with Wishes and Thieves
by Robo Robb on Jul.08, 2012, under Electronic, Soul
I was lucky enough to meet this awesome band on my final night out in Austin this past spring. I was waiting at the bus stop for what seemed like an eternity and met this guy named Will who happened to be the drummer in a band. Like every chance encounter with a musician, I always must ask for an interview. The next day I met the band for an interview and had a great conversation with them. Take a listen and enjoy!

SXSW Interview with Skinny Lister
by Robo Robb on Jul.08, 2012, under Folk
I met Dan (bass playing Dan) on the bus coming home one night. We started talking and I found out he was in an awesome group from England and that they were going to be playing a bunch of shows the next day for all of the St. Patrick’s Day festivities in Austin. I specifically remember telling him that is I didn’t hear from him the next morning I was going to hit up hit publicist to get an interview with the band. Before I got off the bus Dan got into an awesome verbal battle with one of the Austin natives and began exchanging “yo mama” insults. The next day we were able to meet up and since the day that week I have seen these guys traveling all across America. Take a listen and enjoy!
