Radio Interview with Adrienne Williams and Pato Margetic
by Robo Robb on Dec.26, 2011, under Fashion, Soul
So Adrienne came to the station and told stories. Then, Pato came to the station and told stories with his guitar. Pato also plays my favorite song, “It’s over”. Take a listen and enjoy. I swear one day, if I ever have a morning drive talk show, Adrienne will be one of my co-hosts her voice works well with mine wouldn’t you agree?

Radio Interview with Shotgun Soul
by Robo Robb on Aug.09, 2011, under Rock, Soul
I met Robby a long time ago when he was still a young lad and I was just beginning my undergrad. Last year a friend brought me to an Imagine Nation concert where I was reintroduced to Robby. A few months ago I got a call from him saying he was no longer in his old band and would like to have his new band on my show. Well, we made it happen and Robby and the gang came on my show to speak about their projects. Ladies and Gents I present to you Shotgun Soul, enjoy!

I have been looking forward to this interview for months. Finally I got in touch with Jessica and she even played drums and sang! I should also let you know that you should check out Armando’s! I’m not going to say much more, I am in awe of her talent and was honored to speak with her. Enjoy!

Interview with The Macpodz
by Robo Robb on Aug.01, 2011, under Adventures, Folk, Rock, Soul
Recently I took a new job and it keeps me on the road many days a year. Sometimes I find myself in the most boring small towns imaginable. One such town was Mt. Pleasant, unless you are a college kid looking to get drunk there really isn’t much to do in this town. After dinner one night this spring I decided to take a stroll through down town, which shuts down earlier than Flint. I looked down one side street and saw a marquee for a small venue and the name “The Macpodz”, in movable letters, indicated that they were playing that night. Having no way to get a hold of them, seeing as how I have never met them before, I left them a note with the lady tending the bar saying to give me a call if they’d like to do an impromptu interview that night. An hour later back at the hotel I got a call from Brennan of the Macpodz and we made the interview happen. This is what great interviews are made of take an unedited listen to the whole interview here. Enjoy!

Interview with Jeff Maddox
by Robo Robb on Jan.24, 2010, under Soul
Jeff was the first country artist I have ever interviewed. It is always refreshing to break outside of the realm of the new music scene and delve into something totally new (to me at least). If you like country music but cannot stand young country Jeff is the dude for you!

Interview with Andy the Doorbum
by Robo Robb on Jan.17, 2010, under Adventures, Arts, Rock, Soul
Before I left Charlotte, NC I just had to interview this dude. I kept hearing great things about him from everybody. Andy is the doorman (ID Checker, Money Collector and Wristband dispenser) for the Milestone, by far my favorite music venue in Charlotte. The Milestone has the feeling of a great Detroit dive bar, it really made me feel like I was home when I was hundreds of miles away. Take a listen to the interview, I am really proud of the audio collected (the background noise in this is priceless).

Radio Interview with Apollo Brown
by Robo Robb on Sep.12, 2009, under Hip-Hop, Soul
Congrats to the homie on his big win in the Redbull Big Tunes Battle last night! In light of his victory I went digging for the audio file of the interview we did a few months back. I finally found it, little did I realize it was already posted. Apollo called into the show the same day I interviewed No Really. I want to give a big shout out to Origix and D.C. for introducing us. Since this interview I have been using his Instrumentals for nearly every interview I do on my show! Once again congrats to Apollo Brown for his big win last night and enjoy!

“It’s Over” by Pato Margetic
by Robo Robb on Sep.10, 2009, under Soul
Ok so by now if you have been down with my music you have heard of Pato Margetic. I met this dude a few years back while I was working at Penn Station. By that time I had met so many local artists I was immune to the fact that he was another artist. But, he wasn’t just another artist. After listening to his demo a couple times it became evident this kid could sing. Not only could he sing but his lyrics were on point! A couple months after we initially linked up he took off to D.C. to record his first album. When he returned he has quite the collection of new stuff and I was very impressed by the product he put out. Just a few weeks ago I was chilling at Pato’s place (ironically the fictitious name for the Club scene in my “Footwork” video) and he played me some of his new joints. I immediately called up Moonchild and began raving about this new stuff Pato was recording solely in his bedroom studio. This is one of my favorite joints titled “It’s Over”, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Leave some feedback Pato would greatly appreciate it, cause now the homie has decided to do this independently we need to support him as much as we can!

Radio Interview with the Deming Sisters
by Robo Robb on Sep.03, 2009, under Soul
What do you get when you mix Ella Fitzgerald and Nellie McKay? The Deming Sisters! I am this groups biggest advocate, if you havn’t listened to their music yet your stoopid! Ok well your not stoopid… you just havn’t gotten around to it yet. But seriously this is going to be the next big thing in music I can just feel it. The live performance they did on my show was outstanding! Take notice of the picture i’m posting below, this was taken at the Blind Pig in Ann Arbor. Connie Deming the youngest in the group is only 13, they had to sneak her in to perform. At another performance I was told they had to put her in an apron and pretend she worked there to deal with all the legal issues of having a 13 year old perform at a bar. If you don’t listen to any of my interviews or any of my music that’s cool, but please listen to this interview and go check these young ladies out you will not be disappointed.
