I had the opportunity to speak with Saron, a.k.a. Mr. Uppercut from Detroit CYDI, about his job as a software engineer. I must appologize in advance, this story was hastily thrown together. For the past couple months I have been following my Twitter pal Shauna and her recent decision to leave the corporate world and start up her own company. Being the inquisitive person I am I decided the news was the best place to find out more about that great leap she recently took. This story aired on December 11th, 2009.

Local Detroit filmmaker Lawrence Lamont Jenkins recently released his first short film titled Patzer. After watching I was very inspired to speak with the dude. Also be on the look out for some new projects this young man is working on and keep an eye out for a possible entry into the Sundance Film Festival.

I had the pleasure of taking a tour of one of the oldest uniform supply companies in the Pontiac area. Harwood was established in the 50′s and my homie Shawn Clarke is learning the ropes in hopes he will one day become the owner/ operator. This is my first journalistic audio endeavour so cut me some slack if it is not up to standards with NPR!

One of the cool parts of being a radio DJ and interviewing 100′s of people is you get some surprises along the way. About a week before I left Michigan I decided to get my nap on, like I usually do. When I woke up I had a missed call from Big A. So I check my voicemail and it said 3 minutes. I at first was going to just assume Big A’s pocket called me… you know all about that. So I listened just in case the homie Big A was just really long winded and too my surprise look what I found…. I love being a radio DJ!

The only reason I’m able to even blog right now if because of this dude right here. DJ Meph is a multi faceted person and quite the humorous individual! Check him out! Oh yeh and check out his ultra gangsta picture… it looks like someone took this at the club for $5.
