Robo Robb

This was the interview I least expected but prize the most from my trip to SXSW this year. I got to interview One Be Lo and Senim Silla together on the streets of Austin Texas! Besides a great interview I had an awesome in depth discussion with Senim about race. Without ruining anything I will shut up and let you take a listen. Enjoy!

The first night in Toronto I finally spoke with my first rapper. JR Mint is out of Toronto and was ready to take Austin by storm. Take a listen!

I really don’t need to introduce this duo out of Chicago. They are super fresh you should just google them. I unexpectedly got to interview them while eating lunch at the Kabobalicious food truck in Austin. Josh and Curt get majorly dope with this DJ stuff. Check it out!

This band, out of San Fransisco, was staying at the same hotel as I. One morning we were walking to the bus stop and I had the pleasure of speaking with them for a super short interview. Enjoy!

John Stirratt is one of the original members of Wilco and is also in Autumn Defense. I randomly met John on a bus stop bench amidst the chaos of SXSW. Our interview was interrupted by 100′s of bicyclists and then he had to leave early to get back to his hotel. Nonetheless I was thrilled to speak with him for a brief unexpected moment! Enjoy!

My first day in Austin, I had not even seen the down town yet, I run into Esben and the Witch. This group out of London I had never heard of before this interview (which is the case with many interviews I conducted during my stay in Austin). This was one of the most athletic interviews I have ever conducted. Take a listen and enjoy!

I met these guys while I was filling up my tank at a gas station in Joplin Missouri. I was on my way to Phoenix and they were headed on tour out west. This was my first interview of my winter road trip of 2011 and the first interview on my new digital recorder. Enjoy!

I had the honor of speaking with Philthy when he returned from his trip to Africa. Philthy went to Africa to work with kids in a small village devastated by AIDS. His story is very heart warming and inspiring. Take a listen and then take some action!

This interview was interesting because it felt like Iknew all the answers to the questions. Only because I messed up recording the interview and had to do it all over again. I met Mark of That Was Something working at a sandwich shop a few years back. All the kids kept raving about his band and the places they were going. So naturally, I had to ask the dudes to come through the station and see what the hype was all about. This interview was conducted with KR (also a host of Robo-Robb Wednesday circa Fall 2007- Summer 2009), this is where the $100,000 question was derived from.
