Radio Interview with Mongo Slade

by Robo Robb on Dec.25, 2010, under Hip-Hop

A couple months back I sat down with Mongo Slade formerly of Da Pentagon. He also brought his kid to the station which is always a breath of fresh air. Mongo and I have worked with the same engineer and have much to talk about and reminisce over. Take a listen and enjoy!

Radio Interview with Chris Ringler

by Robo Robb on Dec.25, 2010, under Arts

I had the chance to sit down with Chris Ringler from Flint Michigan and discuss his latest book The Meep Sheep. This was the first book I have read, sent to me by the author, that I actually was interested in following up with an interview. During my course at the radio station many authors have submitted books for me to read and Chris’s book was interesting enough to warrant an interview. I hope you enjoy our interview enough to pick up this wonderful tale. Chris is an independent author and needs your support! Listen and enjoy!

Radio Interview with J. Fin

by Robo Robb on Oct.21, 2010, under Hip-Hop

This is not the first time I have interviewed J. Fin. This is actually one of the many times I have shared the airwaves with the dude. J. Fin is a former co-host of Robo-Robb Radio and is in my opinion “that rapper guy” on the campus of Oakland University. This interview marks the start of season 4 of Robo-Robb Radio, catching up with friends! Listen and enjoy.

Radio Interview with The Left (Apollo Brown, Journalist 103 and DJ Soko)

by Robo Robb on Oct.14, 2010, under Hip-Hop

I got the opportunity to be one of the first to speak with The Left about their debut release. Apollo Brown, Journalist 103 and DJ Soko are The Left. As individual artists they are impressive but put them together and you have one of the illest projects of the year! Take a listen and enjoy!

Adventure to 3 Sisters with MC Pig Pen and Pat Maine

by Robo Robb on Sep.17, 2010, under Hip-Hop

These interviews are an awesome insight into the lives of touring  artists sleeping in the back of the Toyota and on couches across the nation. We first went in search of dinner and wound up at a little diner (better known as “coney island” in Detroit) called 3 sisters. There was an old Greek lady in the kitchen and she wore a revolver in her apron. After we ate we went back to the venue and I just caught the final song of Aztek’s set. Before I left we sat in my car and finished the interview. This was a great adventure and I hope you find the conversations just as awesome.

Radio interview with Pig Pen of Waste Management

by Robo Robb on Sep.17, 2010, under Hip-Hop

I recently had Pig Pen (DJ/ Producer extraordinaire) on my radio show. Not to be confused with MC Pig Pen whom Kosha Dillz introduced me to. Pig Pen is 1/2 of Waste Management a local rap group based out of Lincoln Park. Be on the lookout for some production from Pig Pen on my new album! Take a listen and enjoy!

Radio Interview with Logos

by Robo Robb on Aug.25, 2010, under Hip-Hop

This dude is working on a new album with two of my favorite producers, Moonchild and Robert Flood this interview we speak everything from architecture to breeding fish. I live for conversations like this. Take a listen and learn a thing or two. Also you can hear me rap a verse from a song that will never see the light of day (the original of which featured Theory!).
