A couple months back I sat down with Mongo Slade formerly of Da Pentagon. He also brought his kid to the station which is always a breath of fresh air. Mongo and I have worked with the same engineer and have much to talk about and reminisce over. Take a listen and enjoy!

I had the chance to sit down with Chris Ringler from Flint Michigan and discuss his latest book The Meep Sheep. This was the first book I have read, sent to me by the author, that I actually was interested in following up with an interview. During my course at the radio station many authors have submitted books for me to read and Chris’s book was interesting enough to warrant an interview. These interviews are an awesome insight into the lives of touring  artists sleeping in the back of the Toyota and on couches across the nation. We first went in search of dinner and wound up at a little diner (better known as “coney island” in Detroit) called 3 sisters. There was an old Greek lady in the kitchen and she wore a revolver in her apron. After we ate we went back to the venue and I just caught the final song of Aztek’s set. Before I left we sat in my car and finished the interview. This was a great adventure and I hope you find the conversations just as awesome.
