This summer I sat down with Natasha, Tim, and Mike at the station and not only did I get to discuss their music and their lives at length I also received my own personal concert. This was not just any personal concert. This was a concert that was rehearsed for my radio show (due to the limitations of our station when accommodating live performances). I was impressed. I have also grown quite fond of their Lo-Fi sound that works its way into my iPod shuffle on occasion. Take a listen I’m sure you will enjoy them as much as I did!

Before Tim left for Libya after the fall Gaddafi (see also Kadafi and Qaddafi) I had the opportunity to speak with him. Tim is a reporter for the Tri-County Times and was on a mission to document one Flint Area family upon their return to Libya after the revolution. Besides being a fantastic reporter he is also a photographer and musician. Instead of outlining all his accomplishments here just take a listen and learn a little bit more about this multifaceted individual.

I had the chance to sit down with Chris Ringler from Flint Michigan and discuss his latest book The Meep Sheep. This was the first book I have read, sent to me by the author, that I actually was interested in following up with an interview. During my course at the radio station many authors have submitted books for me to read and Chris’s book was interesting enough to warrant an interview. This past weekend I took part in a wonderful benefit for the relief in Haiti. Natasha Thomas-Jackson (a.k.a. Theory) was the hostess and planner of this event that raised over $500 and a van full of clothing to help the disaster victims in Haiti. She is also the director of Flint based non-profit organization called Raise It Up! Raise It Up promotes creativity for the development of tomorrows leaders and activists. Below is a story that will air this afternoon on WXOU.
