I had the opportunity to interview Nicolay again, and actually meet him in person this time. I got to speak with him after sound check when he was on tour in Detroit. I think this interview couldn’t have gone any better as far as follow up interviews go. Take a listen and enjoy!

I had a song stuck in my head when I returned from North Carolina in November. This song started to fade as the months went by and I soon forgot about it. Sugar Glyder is a band from Charlotte, North Carolina. I have been wanting to interview these dudes and dudette since I first saw them perform at the Tremont in Charlotte back in September of 2009. Well I made another trip to Charlotte this past May and finally was able to get them all in one place for a great interview. This interview was conducted at their practice space in the Queen City Underground. When I left the interview I popped in one of the CDs they had given me and voila! There it was the song that was stuck in my head! Take a listen, enjoy and leave some feedback for the group.

Tom Hardy is a very hard working young man with big dreams. Tom is doing very big things down south with some of the most reputable names in the Hip-Hop scene. No spoilers here. You will just have to listen to the interview and hear all about it!

Before I left Charlotte, NC I just had to interview this dude. I kept hearing great things about him from everybody. Andy is the doorman (ID Checker, Money Collector and Wristband dispenser) for the Milestone, by far my favorite music venue in Charlotte. The Milestone has the feeling of a great Detroit dive bar, it really made me feel like I was home when I was hundreds of miles away. Take a listen to the interview, I am really proud of the audio collected (the background noise in this is priceless).

A couple months back I took a trip to Wilmington North Carolina. I saw this abandoned building and thought this was an interesting way to add some life to a lifeless structure. I know doing this to every abandoned building in Detroit would be a little redundant but it couldn’t hurt to add a little life.

This interview was my first official “back stage” interview, It was conducted at the McGlohon Theater in Charlotte NorthCarolina. The Carolina Chocolate Drops are an Old Time band with a new wave twist. I was honored to be able to speak to these guys (and gal) before their show on October 15th, 2009. I never thought when I started doing radio that I would ever interview someone as successful as Nicolay. Well I was wrong and here is the interview to prove it! Nicolay has a great perspective on U.S. politics being from overseas all of you should listen carefully.

This interview was very interesting and the atmosphere is great in the Waffle House. I was very surprised by the answers to my questions I think you might be too.
