I was surprised to hear from One Be Lo a few months back and ask if he could join me on my show. Never before had an artist I had become hip to before the days of internet, an artist that I was truly a fan of, an artist that has got my money time and time again asked to be a guest on my show. This was new to me and was more than happy to get him on the show as soon as the star aligned. Not only was it an honor the interview was one of my best. This was the interview I least expected but prize the most from my trip to SXSW this year. I got to interview One Be Lo and Senim Silla together on the streets of Austin Texas! This was one of my favorite interviews I have ever done. Do not sleep on the homie Big A! He attributes learning English to his study of Hip-Hop as a youth in Lebanon. Anyone who thinks they know something about Detroit rap music, you don’t know anything until you have listened to Big A. You all need to be taking notes (Big A was taking notes while I was interviewing him… that’s hustle).
